TestMasters LSAT Course Reviews

Anna-Liisa Are | University of Colorado Before TestMasters 151 After TestMasters 173

“The first thing that I did when I decided that I wanted to apply to law school was to call my best friend’s brother, a successful lawyer, for advice about the LSAT. He gave me a five minute lecture about why I shouldn’t even consider taking any other class besides TestMasters. Even though I’d never heard of TestMasters before, I’d heard plenty of negative things about Kaplan and Princeton Review, including from a friend who’d been asked to teach an LSAT class for Kaplan despite having never actually taken the test, so I decided to give them a shot. I am grateful that I took that advice and I was very pleased with the class and with my experience. My instructor was patient and professional, taking the time to explain the concepts and the TestMasters methods thoroughly. I liked that the TestMasters methods were so clearly thought out and designed to avoid confusion while still allowing you some latitude to do what makes the most sense to you. Likewise, I appreciated that TestMasters draws their abundance of practice problems from actual LSATs so that we could really try to get into the heads of the test writers and understand what they were getting at and what they wanted us to do. Taking TestMasters was the sole thing I did to prepare for the LSAT and I’m certainly glad that it was!”

Jonathan Wright | University of Colorado Before TestMasters 139 After TestMasters 162

“I want to thank you for your excellent LSAT program and the impact it has had on my future. I’m tremendously grateful for the exceptional curriculum and approach you offer your students and cannot imagine taking the LSAT without first taking TestMasters. My score on the first TestMasters practice test was a 139. I ended up scoring a 162 on the actual test—a score I am personally satisfied with and one that has helped me receive scholarships from every school I have been accepted to so far.

Looking back on my TestMasters experience, I can say that my instructor, Palmer Heenan, deserves the most credit for my success on the LSAT. Palmer is an incredibly dedicated instructor and approaches the art of teaching with true compassion and humility. I can say this because Palmer goes above and beyond for his students, encouraging them to reach out to him via phone and email at almost any time of the day. Moreover, Palmer brings a positive attitude and sense of humor with him to every lesson. He actually enjoys the LSAT, which is kind of crazy, but his attitude is infectious and benefits all of his students. I have been lucky enough in my life to meet certain people who have helped me overcome obstacles when I really needed help. Palmer is one of those people. Thanks so much to TestMasters and Palmer for helping me succeed in the law school admissions process.”

Charles Cordova | University of New Mexico Before TestMasters 166 After TestMasters 174

“I was first introduced to TestMasters through a friend who had previously attended a T14 law school. When he heard that I was planning on attending law school after the completion of my undergraduate degree, he immediately told me to avoid doing any type of LSAT study until I was ready to devote myself to a course. He also told me to plan on using TestMasters.

Most of the available LSAT prep courses are ineffective, and typically will not raise your LSAT score much more than if you studied on your own. TestMasters pioneered the teaching methodology that most other courses are based on, and it has much more experience in teaching students how to succeed.

The biggest difference between TestMasters and the other potential choices is their instructors. Robin Singh, the founder of TestMasters, the man who created the TestMasters methodology and the current LSAT 180 world-record holder, personally oversees all TestMasters instructor training. The most important factor in increasing a score from good to exceptional is the instructor, and it simply isn’t worth the risk to go with any other choice.

The same skills that help one to succeed on the LSAT can be applied to selecting the right prep course. Because of their experience and the quality of their instructors, anybody who is unwilling to accept mediocrity should choose TestMasters. I improved my score from a 166 to a 174. I am confident that my score would not have improved by that much if I had taken a different course.”

Sophie Rosen | University of Denver Before TestMasters 147 After TestMasters 161

“While prepared to study rigorously for the LSAT, I had a hard time committing to the time and money the TestMasters course would require. But I continued hearing great things about the course and finally signed up. I could not be happier with my decision.

My instructor, Sabrina Jacks, was knowledgeable, accessible, and an incredible educator motivated to help each student do their best on the LSAT. She did an excellent job giving individual attention while always filling each class with important information. The resources in the course made studying easier, and I always felt like I was able to get questions answered. It was easy to supplement the engaging class discussions and lessons with the video and written explanations that were provided. Additionally, the TestMasters staff was extremely helpful and supportive.

In the later stages of my prep, I also did private tutoring with Sabrina, who helped me create a personalized study schedule so I could reach my goal. Both TestMasters and Sabrina surpassed all of my expectations, and I’ve already gotten into many law schools I thought were beyond my reach.”
