The LSAT is a half-day standardized test that is comprised of 2 logical reasoning sections, 1 logic games section, 1 reading comprehension section, and 1 unscored section commonly referred to as the variable or experimental section. An essay portion of the exam called the writing sample is administered after the 5 multiple-choice sections. For each of the sections and the writing sample, test takers have a time limit of 35 minutes.
