| Description |
TestMasters seeks talented and highly motivated
individuals to teach the TestMasters GMAT Course at various locations
around the globe. Instructors can teach anywhere from one to six full-length
courses each year. Instructors may also be given opportunities to tutor
students outside of class, to teach intensive weekend seminars, and to
make presentations about the TestMasters GMAT Course to prospective students. |
| Responsibilities |
The TestMasters GMAT Course contains sixty hours
of live, in-class lecture. Instructors are responsible for teaching all
sixty lecture hours of the course, and instructors must arrive thirty
minutes before the start of each class for question-and-answer sessions.
In addition, instructors are required to work at least one five-hour
shift per month on the TestMasters Student Helpline during any period
that they are teaching classes. |
| Qualifications |
Instructor candidates must have scored in the 99th
percentile (750 or higher on the current scale) on an actual GMAT administered
by the Graduate Management Admission Council. There are no exceptions
to this requirement. Furthermore, instructor candidates must have a passion
for teaching and the ability to convey GMAT concepts to students effectively.
A great GMAT score is necessary but not sufficient for becoming a GMAT
instructor at TestMasters. |

| Salary |
The starting salary for TestMasters GMAT instructors
is the highest in the GMAT preparation industry. In Boston, New York
City, the District of Columbia, and the state of California the starting
salary is $40 per hour; in all other areas the starting salary is $30
per hour. This pay rate includes both the lecture hours and the question-and-answer
sessions. All TestMasters GMAT instructors are paid $50 per hour for
in-person tutoring, $30 per hour for telephonic tutoring, and $10 per
hour for helpline shifts. In addition, instructors are sometimes given
the opportunity to travel outside of their local areas to teach classes
at an hourly rate of pay that is higher than their regular rate. |
