| Description |
TestMasters seeks talented and highly motivated individuals to teach the TestMasters SAT Course at various locations throughout California. Instructors can teach anywhere from one to four courses for each SAT administration, depending upon the course locations and time of year. Instructors may also be given opportunities to tutor students outside of class, to teach intensive weekend seminars, and to make presentations about the TestMasters SAT Course to prospective students. |
| Responsibilities |
The TestMasters SAT Course contains sixty hours of live, in-class lecture. Instructors are responsible for teaching all sixty lecture hours of the course, and instructors must arrive thirty minutes before the start of each class for question and answer sessions. |
| Qualifications |
Instructor candidates must have scored in the 99th percentile on an SAT administered by the College Board (i.e. applicants must have scored a 1500 or higher on an SAT taken prior to March 2006 or a 2200 or higher on an SAT taken after March 2006. Additionally, all applicants must have scored at least a 700 on each section). There are no exceptions to this requirement. Furthermore, instructor candidates must have a passion for teaching and the ability to convey SAT concepts to students effectively. A great SAT score is necessary but not sufficient for becoming an SAT instructor at TestMasters. |

| Salary |
The starting salary for TestMasters SAT instructors is $30 per hour. This pay rate includes both the lecture hours and the question-and-answer sessions. All TestMasters SAT instructors are paid $30 per hour for in-person tutoring and $20 per hour for telephonic tutoring. In addition, instructors are sometimes given the opportunity to travel outside of their local areas to teach classes at an hourly rate of pay that is higher than their regular rate. |
