Is there an advantage to prepping for the TestMasters LSAT course ahead of time?

It is not advisable for students to do any LSAT preparation before enrolling in the TestMasters course. TestMasters offers students proven strategies and LSAT study techniques that give them the best LSAT preparation available, and looking through other materials first can cause these students to acquire bad test-taking habits that are often difficult to unlearn.

I want one-on-one help with my LSAT preparation. Are there any Mountain View tutors I can work with?

Tutoring is available in any city where a TestMasters Full-Length LSAT course is taking place. TestMasters LSAT tutors may also be available in other cities, but private LSAT tutoring is not guaranteed for those locations. If you would like to prepare for the LSAT with a TestMasters LSAT tutor but one isn’t available in your area, you can work with one remotely via the TestMasters telephonic tutoring service. The deadline to complete your enrollment in a TestMasters live LSAT prep course is 7 days prior to the first LSAT class meeting. You can easily save your spot in an upcoming LSAT course by making a $100 down payment. The remaining course tuition can then be paid in any number installments as long as your course tuition is paid in full at least one week prior to the start of your LSAT prep classes.

Is the LSAT a requirement for law school?

The Law School Admission Test measures a student’s ability to read carefully and reason critically. As admissions to law school have become more competitive, the LSAT serves as a common denominator by which all candidates can be evaluated equally. The LSAT is a half-day exam, and is only administered four times in any calendar year.

When does TestMasters advise students to take the LSAT?

You should take the LSAT once you feel you are sufficiently prepared. Generally, this means that your score on your LSAT prep tests is close to your goal score. It is typically ideal to take the test shortly after you reach this point and not before, but you should also consider that rolling law school admissions may affect your application if you wait too long to apply to schools you are interested in attending.

Who founded TestMasters?

In 1991, Robin Singh founded TestMasters and has been working to continually improve the course ever since. Robin Singh is the leading authority in the world on LSAT preparation, having received 12 perfect scores on LSAC-administered LSATs. He also heads a research and development team in updating the course materials at least once every year.

What sets the TestMasters full-length LSAT course apart from the TestMasters weekend course?

The weekend course is the perfect alternative for students who cannot attend a full-length TestMasters LSAT prep class but still want to attend a live class. Students enrolled in the weekend class not only receive 16 hours of instruction from a TestMasters instructor who scored in the 98th percentile or higher on an actual LSAT, they also receive homework problems to help reinforce what they learned in the course as well as several LSAT prep tests to allow students to further test their understanding of the material. Although the weekend course is an abbreviated version of the full-length course (in the full-length TestMasters course, students receive 80 hours of instruction and a copy of all 6,500+ questions that are available through the LSAC), it will provide students with a good understanding of the basics before they take the test.

Can I take the LSAT any time?

You can sign-up for any of the following four LSAT administrations if you are taking the LSAT: February, June, September or October (depending on year), and December.

If I prepare for the LSAT one-on-one with a TestMasters tutor, what materials may I use?

Students working with a TestMasters private LSAT tutor can use TestMasters LSAT preparation materials or Law School Admission Council (LSAC) publications in their sessions. All other students may purchase the aforementioned publications directly from TestMasters or the LSAC.

Once I take my diagnostic, when will my results be available?

By 9AM the day after a proctored diagnostic (and often earlier), you can access your score report in the Online Resource Center. You should log in and print your score report so that you can bring it with you to the LSAT review class for that diagnostic. If you would like to view your score report for a supplemental LSAT practice test you have taken, you can do so right after you enter your answers online. These score reports will give you helpful information such as an answer key, question type breakdown, and pertinent statistics.
