What does the LSAT consist of?

The LSAT is a half-day standardized test which measures the reasoning and reading skills of law school applicants. There are five multiple-choice sections and one ungraded essay section. The multiple-choice sections consist of 2 logical reasoning sections, 1 logic games section, 1 reading comprehension section, and 1 unscored section that contains experimental questions. You are given 35 minutes to complete each section.

How many times per year is the Law School Admission Test administered?

The LSAT is administered four times a year; students have the option of taking the February LSAT, June LSAT, September/October LSAT, or December LSAT.

Visit the testing locations page on the LSAC website to download a list of all published LSAT test centers, and look up the ones closest to you. Please note that the LSAT is not administered at every test center on all testing dates.
