What are the different sections that appear on the Law School Admission Test?

The LSAT is a standardized law school entrance exam that is administered over a period of approximately 4 hours. The test is comprised 5 multiple-choice sections and 1 writing sample essay. The 5 multiple-choice sections on the LSAT are made up of 2 logical reasoning sections, 1 logic games section, 1 reading comprehension section, and 1 ungraded variable experimental section. Each section and the writing sample portion are 35 minutes long.

Is the LSAT administered multiple times per year?

The LSAT is administered four times each year by the Law School Admission Council. The test dates are always scheduled for February, June, September/October, and December.

At what locations is the Law School Admission Test offered?

A list of all published LSAT test centers can be downloaded from the testing locations page on the LSAC website. Look for the location closest to you. Please note that some test centers may not be open for every test date.
