What is the Law School Admission Test?

The LSAT is a standardized law school entrance exam that is administered over a period of approximately 4 hours. The test is comprised 5 multiple-choice sections and 1 writing sample essay. The 5 multiple-choice sections on the LSAT are made up of 2 logical reasoning sections, 1 logic games section, 1 reading comprehension section, and 1 ungraded variable experimental section. Each section and the writing sample portion are 35 minutes long.

In which months is the LSAT administered?

Students can take the LSAT on any of the four annual test dates scheduled by the Law School Admission Council. The test is given in February, June, September/October, and December.

Where can I take the LSAT?

You can find the test centers closest to you by visiting the testing locations page on the LSAC website. There you’ll find a list of every published LSAT test center. Please note that some test centers are not available for every LSAT administration.
